Pugs are affectionate, playful, and people-loving dogs. They form strong bonds with their families and enjoy constant human interaction, making them excellent companion pets.
Despite their short coat, Pugs shed consistently throughout the year. Regular brushing helps remove loose hair, keeps the coat smooth, and reduces shedding around the home. Brushing also improves blood circulation and helps distribute natural skin oils evenly.
Pugs should be brushed 2–3 times a week, with daily brushing recommended during peak shedding seasons. Soft-bristle brushes or gentle rubber brushes should be used to lift loose hair without scratching or irritating the skin. Harsh grooming tools should be avoided, as Pug skin is particularly sensitive.
